French:
Madame Rowan was away today so Mr. Lee-guy took over our class. Students enjoyed playing some french vocabulary games with him.
Inquiry into Language:
Today students listened to chapter 3 of our novel study Song Lee in Room 2B. Students then completed their comprehension questions for this chapter. Students are getting much better at writing in full sentences and adding detail into their writing.
Math:
Students today learned what questions you need to ask when collecting data. Students then practiced reading tally charts and drawing bar graphs. We started working on pg. 108-109 in our workbooks and we will complete them tomorrow.
Inquiry into Migration:
Today we reviewed different types of transportation from the past and present. We also talked about how they have changed throughout history. Students were then put into partners and asked to choose one mode of transportation to research. Students were given a chrome book which was very exciting for them. Students were asked to find information about their mode of transportation from both the past and present. Students were given a Venn Diagram to help them organize their information.
