Language: Today students presented their speeches to the class. I timed students and provided them with some feedback. Their two stars and a wish have been placed in their agendas.

Math: Today students worked on drawing and naming 2D shapes. Students tried to complete the questions on their own then we took them up as a class.

Language: Today we read chapter 4 of our novel study. Students then completed the comprehension questions for this chapter.

Today students wrote their pre-test for our new Geometry Unit.

Students chose three pieces of their work to put into their IB binders. Something they did well on, something they did their best on, and something they need to improve on.

French: Today Mme. Rawan was away.

Language: Today students completed their spelling workout books pg. 73-76.

It is review week this week so students are asked to choose 8 words from their spelling work books to write sentences with on Friday.

Math:
Today students wrote their math test.

Gym: Ms. Yustin was away today so I facilitated the gym class. Students played a new game called rock, paper, scissors, train. Students really enjoyed this game.
We also did some skipping, students are practicing cross overs and skipping backwards. For the last ten minutes students played Giant, Wizards, and Elves.

Unfortunately there seems to have been a system error with the lunch ordering site for January. Consequently there was no 31st of January available to place an order on the website.

Language: Today students wrote their spelling tests. Students then had some time to practice their speeches.
When practicing remember:
- Do not sway
-Speak in a loud/clear voice
-Slow down when talking/ or speed up
-Smile
-Use actions
-Practice speaking with expression

Math:
Students continued to review for their math test on Monday. Students were also given a review to work on over the weekend.

Language: Today students practiced there speeches. I timed students and told them whether they needed to slow down or speed up. We also talked about how we should be standing nice and tall when presenting and trying not to sway. Students will also be working on using expression throughout their speech.

Math:
Students did some more review for their math test on Monday. We broke down the wording of the questions so students understood what they were being asked to do.

Reflection: During this time we attended the grade one market. The grade ones have done a fantastic job raising money for SickKids Hospital. We will also make a short visit again tomorrow for students who had forgotten their money today.
