Today students wrote their spelling words in their agendas. Students also worked on pg. 66-68 in their workbooks. Heads up to a change happening for our spelling paragraph homework, students will now to need to pick 8 words for their spelling paragraphs which at times could mean writing more sentences.
Math:
Today students worked on 3 digit subtraction using base ten blocks to help us.
Step 1- make the biggest (first) number using the base ten blocks.
Step 2- If you need more ones trade in a tens rod for ones. (If you have enough then you can skip this step.)
Step 3- If you need more tens trade in a hundreds cube for tens rods. (If you have enough then you can skip this step.)
Step 4- Count your remaining cubes and write down your answer.
Reflection:
We used this time today to work on our speeches. While I met with students to see their progress students practiced presenting their speeches.
