Inquiry into Language:
Today students wrote their spelling words in their agendas. Students then worked on pg. 30-32 in their spelling workbooks. This week students are working on identifying words that make the long "a" sound.
Math:
Today students learned how to conduct a survey. As a class we conducted a survey about how many pets people in our class have. (pg.110 of our workbooks.) Students then conducted their own survey asking their class mates what mode of transportation they prefer.
Students then worked on plotting their data on a bar graph. We set up our bar graphs as a class to make sure we had all the important components of a bar graph and then students plotted their own data. (pg.111 in student workbooks)
Library:
Students today had some time in the Library. Ms. Hayward read them the book, What Friends Do and then they talked about character traits. Students also had a chance to exchange their books.
