Inquiry into Language:
Today we read the story,
We then brainstormed what had happened in the story and students wrote a letter to their Moms and Dads telling them what the story was about. Student's used their recount anchor chart and Letter Larry to help them complete their task.
Math:
Today students practiced conducting a survey. Students asked their classmates, "What type of Halloween candy do you like the most.......?" As a class we came up with our question and then students decided what the three choices were going to be.
After conducting their survey students organized their data into a bar graph. Students used the bar graph we created yesterday to make sure they had all the important components of a bar graph. When students were done with their bar graph they explained what the data on the graph told them.

Inquiry into Migration:
Today students picked a mode of transportation from the past or present to draw. Students were given a diagram of it and asked to recreate their own.
