Day 6 Thursday September 20, 2018




Inquiry into Language:
Today students reviewed what we need to write a proper sentence. Students also reviewed how to write a proper paragraph remembering to use their transition words First, Then, Next, and Lastly. They then had to write a journal entry about a time when they had to make an important decision. 
Students were given the prompt, "I needed to make an important decision when....."

Math: 
Today students learned about greater than and less than, also comparing and ordering numbers. 
We learned about the Hungry Hungry Alligator who loves to eat big numbers. 
As a class we worked on a few questions from pages 20&21 in the students workbook. Students then went on to finishing the rest on their own. 





Inquiry into Citizenship:  
Students today reviewed what a law is and why they are important. Students then got back into their groups and reviewed the law they created yesterday. Today they focussed on coming up with 4 good reasons why we should have this law in our classroom. Students then presented their laws to the class and they voted for the law they wanted to have in our classroom. 
Here are the laws they came up with and how many students voted for each.



Daily five
Today we reviewed how to write the letter D on pg.10 of our cursive books. We reviewed the motions on the board together as a class. Students were also reminded that when writing that we never pick up our pencils.
