French:
During our french time today students participated in some house games.

Language:
Today students shared their All About Me bags with the class. It was nice to get to know everyone a little more. Unfortunately we did not get through them all so we will finish on Monday.

Math:
Today students learned how to identify and describe number patterns on a hundreds chart. As a class we looked at a hundreds chart and identified what a row and a column were. We also learned what a diagonal line looks like.

We then completed pg. 2 as a class and pg. 3 is to be completed for homework. When describing the pattern students were asked to identify whether the pattern was increasing (counting on) or if it was decreasing (counting back) and by how much.

Action

WHAT IS ACTION?

Many people think that Action is easy to define. It is something you do, right? But Action is much more than that. Action is a part of who we are. If we want to change the world we need to start with changing ourselves. But sometimes change is hard. How do we make changes to the way we think so we can help the world?

If we want children to make a difference in the world we need to help them personalize the action they take, and understand that it is not just a mandate from their teachers and parents, but a life long mindset they develop.

Taking action can happen at any age. It’s all about how we as parents, educators, and the community, support children and youth as they begin the learning journey towards becoming adults that are change agents!

If your child performs action at home please send me a quick email or agenda note to let me know and they will be placed on our action wall of fame!
