Today students reviewed how to write a proper sentence. Each table group was given some words and asked to make as many sentences as they could. Students then shared their sentences and we made sure that each sentence started with a capital, ends with a period, and that it makes sense. Students the worked on unscrambling some sentences on their own.

Math:
Today we looked at number patterns by
counting by 25's, 5's and 2's. We also looked at patterns counting by 100. Students have pg. 19 to complete for homework.

UOI:
Students were told that today they would
have to make an important decision that would have an impact on the whole
school. They were told that Mr. Sawatsky is the boss and he has made a decision
to cancel the teaching of math at our school. We as the citizens of his
community will need to vote on if we agree with his decision or if we think he
should keep math.
First we decided if we were for or against
it. Then we discussed with a partner at our table.
Students then talked about it as a table group. We then made a chart for all the reasons why we should keep the math program and why we should cancel it.
