December Lunches

The lunch site is now open

It will close Wednesday, November 20th at 3:00pm

Special of the month: Spaghetti and Meatballs which is available every Friday.

All payments are to be made through quickbooks by December 6th. (Please do not order for December 12 we will be going on a field trip.)

UOI:
Students were told that Mr. Nahi saw some stuff in the cafeteria and he needed our help to find it and figure out who it belonged to and why it might be there. So we did a scavenger hunt with Ms. Hughes class. We found a jacket, passport, plane ticket, student visa, and a postcard.

After talking about the items that were found students organized this information about Mustafa into a journal. We will continue working on our journals tomorrow.

Math:
Today we learned what a reflection is. A reflection is when an object has been flipped over a reflection line. The reflection line can either be horizontal or vertical. Once the object has been reflected the two objects will look like opposites.

Language:
Today students wrote their spelling words in their agendas and then completed their spelling workout books.

Action

WHAT IS ACTION?

Many people think that Action is easy to define. It is something you do, right? But Action is much more than that. Action is a part of who we are. If we want to change the world we need to start with changing ourselves. But sometimes change is hard. How do we make changes to the way we think so we can help the world?

If we want children to make a difference in the world we need to help them personalize the action they take, and understand that it is not just a mandate from their teachers and parents, but a life long mindset they develop.

Taking action can happen at any age. It’s all about how we as parents, educators, and the community, support children and youth as they begin the learning journey towards becoming adults that are change agents!

If your child performs action at home please send me a quick email or agenda note to let me know and they will be placed on our action wall of fame!
