Day 4 Monday November 12

Inquiry into Language:
Today students wrote their spelling words in their agendas and worked on pg. 42-44 in their workbooks. Students this week are learning how to identify words that make a long"o" sound. Students learned that if words are spelt like,   o__e , ow, oa, or _o then it makes to long "o" sound.

Math:
Today students learned what a reflection was and how to reflect a shape over a reflection line. We did some example of reflections on the board and students explained whether or not it was a reflection and why. Students also learned that a reflection line can be horizontal, vertical, or diagonal.

Students then worked on pg.142-143 in their workbooks. For #2 on pg.143 students had to remember what a rotation and translation looked liked. Students did very well with identifying all three transformations.

Science Fair:
Today we completed our third trial of our science fair experiment. Students learned what integrity means and how to show integrity. Students then started to write down everything we have done over the past two weeks and put our presentation board together.
