Language:
We played a game called Guess Who I am! Students filled out these sheets and then I read out the clues and students had to guess who I was describing.

Math:
Today students worked on recognizing names, edges, vertices and faces of 3D prisms and shapes. Students learned that prisms have rectangular faces all the way around and pyramids have triangular faces all the way around.

Students went on a scavenger hunt around the school to find pictures of shapes. They were asked to name the shape and challenged to try and identify how many faces, edges, and vertices each shape has.

We then matched the names of the shapes with it's picture.

Students also coloured a valentines day heart and identified how many of each shape was in the heart.

UOI:

Today students learned about the lever. We watched a video, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lueqE0lxLyc

We also learned that a fulcrum is an important part of a lever.

Students were given 8 elastics, 4 popsicles, a plastic spoon and a picture. They were told to investigate and create a catapult.

They then created a catapult to shoot marshmallows into their partners' mouths!
