Today students worked on their persuasive writing skills. Students wrote a letter to their parents trying to persuade them to buy them a new toy.
We reviewed all the important components of persuasive writing and also came up with some examples of how we could start our letter.
Math:
Today students learned where to place the dollar sign and cent sign when writing down how much money they have. We also learned that the number before the decimal is always how many dollars we have and the number after the decimal is how many cents we have.

Unfortunately we were not able to make it on our nature walk because of the rain. We are going to try again tomorrow so please send students with their plastic bags and rubber boots.
Today students had some time to write out their plan step by step.
