Day 4 Tuesday February 5

Enchanted Forest Dress Up Tomorrow: This means students can wear what ever they think is enchanted or magical. (creatures, characters, animals, forest colours, etc.) Students will need to pay $2 to dress up. Money will be going to support our library.

Just a friendly reminder that re-registration packages are due by Monday, February 11.

French: Today Mme. Rawan was covering Ms. Hughe-Smith's class so we did not have French.

Language: Today students wrote their spelling words in their agendas. Then they worked in their spelling workbooks.

Math:
Today students reviewed what an attribute is. (a way to describe a figure) We then came up with some examples of attributes; the number of vertices, number of edges, and number of faces.

Next we talked about parallel sides. (Parallel sides are two lines that will never intersect or touch.) We then worked on a few examples together as a class.

Reflection: Today students made head bands and paper fortune cookies for Chinese New Year.

Students watched the video, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xXojBa7_30M. Students were then given some example fortunes they could put inside their cookies. Some students decided to create their own fortunes.

We then read about Single Wedges;

 Students then completed an experiment creating a wedge with a ruler that would keep our door open.
