Today students looked at pictographs and bar graphs and learned how to read these graphs to find information on them.

Day 4 Thursday October 3

Language:
Today students wrote a recount about our trip to the Donkey Sanctuary on Monday. As a class we reviewed our recount graphic organizer and came up with an introduction.

Math:
Today we reviewed what an attribute is (size, shape, colour, direction, amount/quantity) We then worked on sorting shapes that were given to us into these categories.We also sorted and placed shapes in to three sorting circles (Venn Diagram) 

UOI:
Today students finished working on their summative assignments and practiced presenting with their peers. We talked about what a good presenter looks and sounds like. Ex: eye contact, good posture, loud/clear voice, not to fast and not to slow.

Students brought their packages home to practice their presentations for tomorrow. Please make sure they come back tomorrow so that I have a rubric to mark them.

Day 3 Wednesday October 2

Today we read chapter one of our novel study and then answered comprehension questions together as a class. We learned how to answer the question by using part of the question in our answer and making sure our answers are as detailed as possible.
